Rocky Horror Beat Show Wrap-Up
I’ve been really slacking on updating the site because I’ve been so focused on the Rocky Horror Beat Show and either working on my beats, or doing something to take my mind off of the whole thing. Well, the battle’s over now and I’m not gonna sugar-coat, dance-around, or otherwise soften it, I didn’t make it past the first round. Interesting enough, I’m not all that disappointed, I mean, of course I wanted to win the damn thing, but the competition was all so good, I don’t feel like I missed out on anything I deserved. That being said, I think I could have made the second round had the bay bridge not been closed.
I know that sounds like an excuse, but listen, the crowd was the third judge at the competition and all my bay area friends live in East Bay. So, when my name was called for crowd applause, a solo “whooooo” from my girlfriend Molly was all that was heard. Granted, had I come up with a more monstrous beat, I probably could have gotten some Benedict Arnold action.
I’ll have the youtube videos from the event for you at some point, but for now you’ll have to settle with youtube links to the original Rocky Horror songs and downloads of the beats I made for each round. Not bad eh?
